~ OK…real talk…this AMAZING sequin kimono MERMAID dress was meant to be worn during a big birthday bar crawl for my 30th that never actually happened. I was away for work over my birthday and didn’t reeeeeally ever get to celebrate the way I had always imagined. BUT…my sweet new neighbors said that your 30’s are all about learning that things don’t always go as planned and that’s ok. The cool thing about the blog? I get to wear my party dress and celebrate right now. With you all! AND I think that’s pretty rad.
SO far, I think that my 30’s have been about rolling with the punches learning to roll with the punches. My apartment is still empty…I repeat…it’s empty (I may or may not be sitting on a pillow on the floor at the moment). I still have no real routine. BUT I have the most incredible friends in Columbus that I ever could have hoped to find! I am loving the city and meeting nice new people all the time. I’m rolling with the punches and every single day I remind myself that I need to be a little more “GRACE not perfection” when it comes to being hard on myself and adjusting to a brand new life in a brand new city.
Another thing that I really had wanted to complete was a “30 before 30” list (and I’m not talking about handsome bachelors in Forbes…). TBH, too much was happening for me to even think about completing the things on that list. AND I feel like there is too much pressure put on turning 30 anyways. SO, I would like to present my 31 before 31 bucket list (it’s not complete yet!)! Do you have one of these?
Some of these are silly. Some of these are serious. But…I am committed to accomplishing them (you all can hold me accountable!)!
~ 31 Before 31 ~

3.) MASTER the Macaron
4.) SIMPLIFY in All Areas of Life
5.) Meditate daily

10.) Go to more concerts!
11.) USE. MY. PLANNER.
12.) Learn how to properly paint my nails (I’m serious. I just…like…cannot do it.)
13.) PLAN that trip to Patagonia. Even if it doesn’t happen before 31…get the ball rolling and in motion.
14.) MAKE MY HOUSE A HOME. For real. Commit to Columbus. Just do it.
15.) Get out West AT LEAST ONCE this year
16.) Skype with my nieces once a week
17.) Learn to needlepoint
18.) Go to church once a week (I LOVE MY NEW CHURCH)
19.) TRULY start climbing
20.) Start golfing more regularly and join a women’s league (THIS STATE IS FLAT…this is my only option)
21.) Sign up for a co-op vegetable delivery
22.) Start making jewelry for friends again
23.) Set flight alerts and take a long weekend trip to Italy…rip off the bandaid…cry…eat…speak Italian…potentially never return
24.) Learn to brew my own kambucha
~ The list is still growing. Anything I should add to this? Let me know! I would LOVE the last part to be collaborative.
Bringing it back around to the birthday dress...I LOVE finding pieces that are inclusive! This is available in Regular sizes, Tall sizes, Petite sizes, and Plus sizes! EEK! I LOVE IT. Click above or below to shop.
Thank you all for being a part of each and every milestone! I appreciate your support, time, encouragement, comments, and words of wisdom more than you even can imagine!
Gratefully with love,
