~ Oh my goodness it’s been a moment since I posted! With work travel (and with expecting a baby!) I started updating my instagram stories more than the actual blog page here. It’s given me a space to share surprisingly long form content and I love that we are able to have conversations stemming from them! That said, be sure to follow along (*my handle changed!) with @rhianashurilla! Alright, now on to the fun stuff: baby Wells’ nursery reveal!
This nursery has been such a labor of love! It’s also been the FUN part of pregnancy for me. Wells is certainly a surprise blessing for us and having this nursery to decorate really gave me the creative outlet that I needed (especially when it came time to stop work travel!). The loose theme is “everything we are excited to share with him”….from sports we love to Italian food! The theme itself helped me to get excited as I started to picture our lives with Wells in them. I’ll be providing links to everything below, but if you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out via DM!
Electronic Glider Recliner – I heavily researched these and we love this one so far! // Name Applique Pillow – so pleased I went with this Etsy seller! She’s amazing! // Floor Lamp (slightly darker than the ecomm photo), also loved this similar Ivory Scalloped Lamp // Box Pleated Window Valance – I sent in my own fabric to this incredible Etsy Shop! Can’t recommend Ahna enough! // Curtains – made by me // Navy Bamboo Nightstand // Scalloped Rattan Ottoman // Peel & Stick Wallpaper //
Crib (it also converts to a toddler bed!) // Crib Skirt made by me // Scalloped Pillow (full disclosure, I added his name myself on my monogram machine but bought the pillow and insert from this shop) // Monogrammed Blanket (I linked to a similar one, I monogrammed myself) // Sailboat Art // Gold Frames – I liked these because they are lightweight and aren’t real glass so if an accident happened the glass won’t shatter // Green Baghera Roadster Car // Peel & Stick Wallpaper
Bookshelf // Green Sailboat // Scalloped Rattan Baskets – Also love this bigger set here // Vintage Style Picnic Boat // Burl Wood Boxes – it looks like the Large sold out, here is a set of 3 that I’m obsessed with // Silver Elephant Piggy Bank from Pottery Barn Outlet and sold out, but here is a similar one! // Golf Cart vintage from Ebay // Duck from Hobby Lobby // Whale was a DIY that Matt helped me with // Jimmy Buffett quote painted by me (frame from Ikea!) //
Dresser and Topper // Changing Pad // Changing Pad Cover (also bought this one) // Blankets from Lynnens // Acrylic Diaper Organizer // Mirror – Also here is another version that comes in multiple sizes // Golf Art and Tennis Art // Gold Bamboo Frames // Cane Rattan Ceiling Fan/Light //
My favorite art in his room! What else could be more perfect for an Italian baby who already goes crazy in my tummy for red sauce!? // Art Print // Frame //
How amazing is this kite (yes! It’s actually a kite!)! It was the perfect “mobile” for his room!
My friend Lily found these cane rattan shelves for me from Amazon, but unfortunately they sold out! Here is a similar cane rattan shelf that I also love.
~ In closing, I can’t forget to thank everyone who helped me make this dream nursery possible! First, my dear friend, Lily, who is my interior decor soul sister! She helped me pick out the fabric for the window treatments and crib skirt and I didn’t order anything without running it by her first! The biggest “thank-you” goes to my parents for so generously helping with his nursery…it was a dream gift to be able to decorate it the way I wanted and pick out investment pieces that will last for years to come! Also big thanks to my mother-in-law, Debbie, for the gift of the glider recliner and for gifting me the sewing/embroidery machine which allowed me to make the curtains, crib skirt, and embroider so many things for Wells! Lastly, I seriously have the best husband ever…biggest thanks to Matt for helping me with literally everything from hanging the wallpaper and window treatments to making sure the furniture was safely secured to the walls. I know he’d also want me to proudly share with you all that he perfectly hung all of the art 🙂
This blog has become a bit of a time capsule for me, and I love that. I can’t wait to come back here on his 10th birthday and think about how I wrote this while patiently waiting for him to arrive in 2 days. As always, thanks for being here and allowing me to share!
Gratefully with love,
xoxoxoxoxoxoxo Rhiana
