Happy almost spring, loves! How was your weekend? I taught skiing this morning to the sweetest group of 3-year-olds and it was so great (I love getting different kids every time!).
So, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect classic trench coat for a while, and though I have come across some great options, I think this is the best, most affordable, and timeless trench coat I’ve seen yet (and I am crazy particular about details)! I love the buttons, the buckle, the pockets, the high collar, the back panel, and the fun solid inside pop of red! Also, I’ve had my eye on this sweater from J.Crew since it came out and IT FINALLY WENT ON SALE and then I got it and THANK GOSH I DID because it’s now MY NEW FAVORITE! It’s so classic – I know I’ll wear it in all seasons and I love the fit. Thinking about dressing it up this week with a Club Monaco maxi skirt (side sloppy tucked, of course)!
When I saw these shoes online at ASOS I knew I had to have them! Some of my earliest childhood memories are dancing around the house while getting ready for bed singing Elvis’ “Blue Suede Shoes” with my parents. I think I may have been learning how to count and I specifically remember the whole “one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready…” part! I don’t even know if I’ve ever mentioned this memory to them?! Well, Mommy and Daddy, it made quite the impression and now I actually have a pretty cool pair of blue suede shoes myself! I think Elvis would approve of this brave, bold, and semi-wild-child vibe heels!
Besides the heels that definitely make me feel cooler than I actually am, I have a big confession: THESE ARE HIGH WAISTED JEANS. I did it. I joined the club. And I actually LOVE them more than anything ever in the world. They cover your tummy, you can rock a crop top with them (or a chunky sweater), you can move around and do activities and bend over and dance and NOTHING is revealed! Modest is hottest? I have no idea…but I just can’t get enough of them.
I hope that you’re all soaking in the sun this week! I’m off to Charleston Fashion Week and then to Palm Beach! All very exciting things happening on here soon 🙂 I promise to share the good stuff!
Gratefully with love,
