~ Even though it’s final presentation week and ( I really should maybe be doing some school work right now), I just could not WAIT to share this post with you all! First of all, how stunning is the Arco della Pace (“Arch of Peace”) here in Milan?! It was so fun to explore this landmark last weekend on a warm fall morning, perhaps the last warm fall morning we really had! It’s now dropping down into the 40’s and I am definitely struggling with the whole Celsius to Fahrenheit thing! O Dio!
This classic fall look is one of my favorites! Simple yet so comfortable, cozy, and chic. Living in a European city that requires me to WALK a lot has me thinking much more about comfort than I used to in the states. However, as I know I’ve mentioned before, Milan is much dressier and chicer than the states (no leggings allowed!). The key (and sometimes the trick) is to find pieces that can be BOTH chic and are comfortable enough to wear all day long as I go from school to adventures.
This sweater from Southern Proper is so timeless and definitely has a party going on in the back with this beautiful draped-back detail. I also love the cuffed sleeves and the thicker weight of it! It’s one of those things I can dress up or down (and I’m also looking forward to wearing it with white jeans, cognac booties, and a patterned scarf)! These booties are by JACK ROGERS (I know…HALLELUJAH that you can wear them all year round) and are SO comfortable! The heel is perfect because it adds just enough definition to my legs without being uncomfortable for all the walking I do here!
What are your favorite things to wear each fall? I’m finding that I need to adapt from my “normal” fall wardrobe in New England to my “new normal” fall wardrobe here! I didn’t even bring my bean boots OR my bean booties (which I usually live in this time of year!). I hope that you are all drinking extra cider and finding extra pumpkins (and drinking extra PSLs) for me!
Gratefully with love,
