I have two emphatic words for you all: PARTY PANTS!!! For a girl who didn’t wear pants until they were 8, being THIS excited about a pair of pants is a BIG DEAL. How do I put them into words? Well, they kind of make me feel the same levels of glam/feminine/ready to party feelings as my tutu does. Yes, I just equated these pants to my tutu. They have SEQUINS on them. AND a stretchy waist (“I’ll have another…”). I want to dress them up just as much as I want to dress them down with a tee or chambray shirt….because I want to wear them all the time. They are definitely loud, but they are BEAUTIFUL! I have a plethora of sequined skirts in my closet (I can’t believe I just told you all that), but these pants were a welcomed addition. I’m a big believer in investing in statement pieces that will bring you endless happiness and last forever – THESE PANTS QUALIFY!
I’ve never been a big fan of pants (except these ^), but this might be one reason that I’m slightly concerned about fall being here. Don’t get me wrong, I love fall and fall things (and fall collections) as much as the next girl, but summer sundresses > pants (again, except for these^). Is it just me or did fall happen overnight? It was actually pretty chilly out on the water on Sunday and I wished I packed more layers for my race. Also, the leaves are definitely changing in New Canaan and it happened so fast! All of a sudden I’m putting the heat on high in my convertible and I am NOT READY for these things yet. Indian Summer, where are you? I don’t know about you, but I’ll be wearing some sequins and bright colors in order to keep the excitement of summer alive as long as humanly possible……
Just remember…”It’s always summer somewhere” ~ Lilly Pulitzer
