~ When my mom came to Italy last month for a short weekend, she wanted to go somewhere that she hadn’t seen before, and I immediately thought “FLORENCE!” I hadn’t been back to Florence in over 6 years and I always remembered it as one of the most amazing places that I had ever been to. I fell in love with Florence all over again!
There is SO much to see in Florence, and we only had a short amount of time. Did I mention that we stayed in the most amazing wellness hotel that had a spa? Well, besides some *MUCH NEEDED* R&R, we visited the market (twice), walked around and explored, and ate some of the best meals I’ve had here in Italy so far! I got my very first leather jacket (there’s ruffles on it…it’s very me! Thanks, Mommy!) and also picked up some amazing scarves and presents for friends and family back home. One of my best friends back home is expecting a baby BOY and I was so excited to find a woman who does monogramming right in the open air market, and so I got the most precious little bib 🙂 Baby Chase’s first present was a special moment for me!
We also went to night mass at the Duomo, which was in Italian and so pretty to listen to. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was shooting this look with Gianmarco! Somehow the blog continues to lead me to amazingly cool new friends in creative fields! I can’t wait to go back to Florence again. I’m an art minor…there’s SO MUCH that I want to see in Florence that I still haven’t! Oh, and there’s a school where you can take a day course on making artisanal leather goods…that’s super high on my list as well.
I just feel like everything is a bit more enchanting in Florence and this party skirt fit in perfectly 🙂 This skirt is also really just perfect for holiday! If you are looking for a fun piece that you can style SO many different ways, I think this skirt is an amazing option.
I hope that you are all having a great week! Perhaps by the time you read this it will be Friday in the states?! TGIF! REALLY.
Gratefully with love,

P.S.
Thank you so much to everyone who shopped and shared my round-ups over cyber week! I definitely put some extra time and love into them and I really appreciate it so much! Keep checking back over this month for more gift guides 🙂
