If I know one thing in my 27 years of life, it’s that you can never have too many GREAT party dresses during wedding/sailing season. This dress pink party dress is one of them! Also, it fits like an absolute glove and will NOT break the bank (so that you can spend a little bit extra on those wedding gifts…and…umm…accessories).
I’m in Kennebunkport, Maine, this weekend for a dear friend’s wedding (one of my summer sisters!)! I can’t think of anything that I love more than weddings! I love seeing friends so happy. I love taking in each little aspect of the day and weekend, knowing full well how much time and thought was put into everything. I love dancing with friends, friends’ family members, and making new friends, too! I’m ALWAYS the first guest to go barefoot on the dance floor (apologies in advance!) and I ALWAYS cry during the vows.
I’ve been to SO many weddings so far…the first wave of friends to go happened quickly after graduation and then they have just kept coming. Sometimes I feel like 27 Dresses is my reality…but, I LOVE IT. I’m grateful for every second of it. I know that the time will come when weddings don’t come so regularly and I’m trying to soak in all the good stuff right now! I realize that not everyone my age has been to so many weddings and I have been referencing this article on wedding etiquette in your 20s A LOT lately. It answers all of your questions and covers the basic “do’s and don’t’s”(please, please, pretty please do not wear white if you’re a guest, ok? Like EVER). Here is a short list of my own recommendations to make the most out of wedding season: DO dance as much as you possibly can, DON’T forget to sit down for your dinner (this happened to me once…the band was really good!), DO spend time catching up with old friends, DO make new friends, DO take pictures and remember the day, DON’T forget your wedding favor.
Do you have a lot of weddings this season?
Gratefully with love,
