It was definitely aggressive to take a long weekend trip to another country…but totally worth it for the SUNSHINE and R&R!
We stayed at the Paradisus Cancun and it definitely surpassed so many of the other all-inclusive resorts I’ve been to! We opted for the Royal Service package, which is a separate part of the resort without kids. It includes a separate main a la carte food/bar area (*there’s a chocolate fountain…just saying) as well as La Palapas, a restaurant just for Royal Service guests (*I think my favorite meal of the weekend was my last lunch there)!
One of my favorite parts of having Royal Service was getting to meet our butler, Alex! Each guest has their own butler who is there to help you with anything you need. Alex even gave us his cell # to text him if we needed anything and he was so incredibly helpful during the entire trip!
Another favorite part of Royal Service was having a cabana already reserved for us every morning! (see above pictures! ^) I think this was a huge perk. Not only do you get a cabana, but also two lounge chairs out in front of your cabana (no need to save chairs!). It was SO nice to just relax and take naps in the cabana. Usually I am out in the SUN trying to get as much color as possible, but this was the first time I was happy to steal some naps in the shaded cabana. I’m also usually trying to meet as many new people and explore as much as possible on a vacation to another country, but I think I really needed this relaxing break from the busy day-to-day of a new role in a new city – and this vacation was PERFECT for just that.
I had a lot of questions on Instagram about what room we booked after sharing a video tour! We had a two room large junior suite in the Royal Service section and loved it. Having 2 full bathrooms and balconies was amazing. The Lagoon facing balcony was perfect for watching the sunset (*it’s not on the ocean side!) which we did each evening.
While I was there, I was so excited to bring out my two new pieces from Haley and the Hound! GET READY to add a new name to your list of favorite brands! Right before I left when I opened my (*adorable) package from them, I pretty much screamed when both pieces fit me perfectly – I mean, to a T! It’s not every day that I get to work with a brand who also carries plus sizes, and I LOVE being able to feature INCLUSIVE brands (just like the one I work for every day)! I am going to wear this white eyelet ruffle dress ALL the time spring through summer! Also fell in LOVE with this ruffle neck seersucker tunic with the TASSEL HEM details! The price point is so friendly and, TRUST me, you will FALL for this brand just like I did!
I love bringing you all along on each and every adventure! Feel free to reach out with any questions on products or accommodations (wearbowsandsmile@gmail.com)!
Gratefully with love,

A friend asked if this post was going to be hard to write because of recent life changes since this trip. To be honest, I was really nervous to sit down and write this, but…to answer her question, it hasn’t been all that hard (*surprisingly). I will always take joy in sharing my travels, adventures, style tips, and new brands on the blog; If anything, writing this post only further revealed that truth! It’s been a tough couple of weeks…and things have changed a lot since this trip took place. I’m still so glad that this trip happened! I’m feeling grateful for such supportive friends and feel a sense of peace knowing that God’s plan for me is always better than what I planned for myself.
