~ I was lucky enough to attend the AMAZING launch party of the People StyleWatch Magazine X Charming Charlie collaborative collection. If you follow me on snapchat (therhiana) or on instagram, you know how much fun I had! I should have known from those giant pink doors that it would be MY kind of party, complete with sparkly candy shaped like accessories! I had too much fun playing dress up and picked up a few great things of my own. As a People StyleWatch Style Hunter, I was so excited to attend my first event and take a look at a collection that they had a hand in creating. Of course, it blew my mind! High end accessories that are completely affordable?! YES PLEASE.
There’s a Charming Charlie in my hometown in PA and I’m always excited to pop-in when I’m home. The store just exudes FUN and COLOR and the accessories are always right up my alley. The best part about the StyleWatch X Charming Charlie collection is that it fits PERFECTLY with my more professional outfits for grad school here in Milan (like this chic dress that I’ll have forever, I just know)! A few of the items that I’m wearing were SO GOOD that they sold out quickly, however, there are even more StyleWatch X Charming Charlie accessories that have launched since then and there will be more, so check back throughout the fall! Check out even more of my very favorite items from Charming Charlie right now in the scroll bar below (it was hard to narrow down the list!).
So, you might be wandering “are you in Milan, yet?” and the answer is “yes!” I arrived on Monday afternoon and have just been catching my bearings. I’m staying in a beautiful house on the outskirts of the city with a friend of a friend who is kind enough to rent me a room while I look for an apartment closer to school. There is a beautiful garden, high ceilings, balconies, and a cat named Bianca with one blue eye and one green! No one in this area speaks English (eek), but it’s been great to be thrown right into things and I am working hard to learn more Italian each day. I met one friend so far at the train station who was so sweet and truly such a miracle! She found me fumbling with one of the ticket machines (not exactly Metro North), and speaks fluent English and studied in Australia. She’s going to help tutor me in Italian a bit! I did the route from where I live to school (not super close), and wandered around a bit. It’s beautiful here! Everyone warned me that I might panic alone in a new city, but to stay calm. I’m happy to report that there has been zero sense of panic yet!
I hope that your week is off to a wonderful start! Thank you so much for continuing to stop by and visit me here. I cannot tell you how much it means to me and as I sit here in Milan and work on this post, I can’t help but feel an extra sense of comfort as I come back to my one always constant space: this blog 🙂
Gratefully with love,
