~ This Spring, my friend Patricia (from @preppypublicist and @thepreppypodcast) and I had the honor and pleasure of sharing the Spring collections of some of our favorite brands in Naples, FL! It was my first time in Naples….gosh it’s SO pretty and colorful! It’s definitely high on my list for weekend getaways and for my next vacation. It’s so easy to get to and once you are there, you can pretty much walk to everything OR if you stay at the Inn on Fifth (read more below!), they have a convenient shuttle that takes you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. Now that we have a vaccine and things are becoming safer for air travel, I think it’s the perfect time to plan a last minute getaway! After this past year….I truly believe some time in the sunshine is exactly what we all could use more of. I hope this post brings a bit of sunshine to your day and inspires you to seek a sun-filled Naples adventure for yourself 🙂
~ I know I speak for the both of us when we say that we LOVED our stay at The Inn on Fifth in Naples! I’m a big believer that it’s always the people that make the place, and that was certainly the case with The Inn on Fifth! Their staff was so incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel immediately at home. As a freelancer who has been living a bit of an “on-the-go” life for the past year, I can say with absolute certainty that out of all the places I’ve stayed in the US, The Inn on Fifth stands out among the others.
The central location, right off of 5th Ave., makes it incredibly easy to take advantage of all that Naples has to offer. Some of the best shops and restaurants are right outside of your door! They also have a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within a few miles, which really helped us in a big way when we had a lot of places to go within just a few short days. Patricia and I were often carrying more than our arms could handle bopping around to different locations to shoot, and the shuttle drivers always met us with a smile and a helping hand, which really made all of the difference!
They have a great rooftop pool deck that has wonderfully colorful decor and a very “tropical oasis” feel to it! Even though the beach is just a few blocks away, I think it’s really nice to have the pool option right outside your room. It’s also convenient that you are able to order lunch right there at the pool (*extra sunshine time is always a huge plus in my book).
My room was beautiful and very spacious (see my photo below) and I had a balcony that overlooked the pool deck. I felt incredibly comfortable and it was so nice to retreat and rest at the end of a busy day! One of my favorite parts of the room was the stunning large rain head shower – it was such a luxury and treat.
Ocean Prime ~ This was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in recent memory (*you all know how much of a foodie I am, too!). Ocean Prime is located right below the hotel and you HAVE to go! I had no idea that it was a Cameron Mitchell restaurant (*he’s a big deal here in the Columbus restaurant scene)! They were so incredibly accommodating to my gluten allergy which was such a treat. I had this amazing shrimp appetizer special with toasted cheesy bread on the side and they went out of their way to make sure I had gluten free cheesy bread (*I’ve never been able to eat anything like that at a restaurant before!). Patricia and I split a ceasar salad and for dinner I had the scallops with parmesan risotto – my mouth is watering just remembering this meal! Be sure to scroll below for a few of the photos I snapped from our meal. Lastly, I MUST mention the stunning and very photo-worthy cocktails. Patricia had their “Berries and Bubbles” cocktail which was so fun and dramatic with the dry-ice smoke. I had their “Black and Blue Mojito” which was so incredibly fresh and the perfect drink to cheers and kick-off our trip with (*rum just TASTES like vacation to me!).
Tommy Bahama Restaurant – After Patricia and I shopped at the Tommy Bahama stores, we had the treat of having lunch at their restaurant. It surpassed all expectations! It certainly is VERY on brand with Tommy Bahama and makes you feel like you are on an island the moment you walk in. We loved our lunch there and I was SO giddy that they had my #1 favorite rum drink, “Pusser’s Pain Killer”!
~ When we weren’t eating amazing food or shooting for our blogs, we shopped! We had the most fun morning with the Tommy Bahama team trying on all of their new things (*see my “Naples” highlight on instagram where my try-on videos are all saved). They have separate stores for their swim and their everyday contemporary collection/ athletic wear. Be SURE to go into their swim store and try-on their swim in person – it’s some of the best fitting swim I have ever worn!
We also shopped at the Charleston Shoe Co. store, which was so fun because I had never been to one of their stores before even though I love their comfortable wedges that I ordered online. If you are looking for the biggest assortment of summer wedges that you’ve ever seen – you MUST visit their happy and colorful store in Naples!
One of my favorite parts of the trip was when Patricia hosted myself and her friend, Andy, for a beach picnic! We sipped on rosé and nibbled on the stunning and yummy charcuterie board from @boardtograze as we watched the sunset – it was perfect!
~ Truth be told….we might be here for days if I shared every look I wore in Naples! Head on over to my instagram and check out my “Naples” highlight section for more looks and try-on videos! Here are a few favorite looks I wore while I was in Naples and am still loving now!
