~ My family travels every year for Thanksgiving and this year we went to the Dominican Republic! Luckily, I still get to bring a best friend on the vacation some years. THANK GOODNESS because anyone will tell you that my best friend Jeannie is probably one of the most hilarious, most fun people you’ll ever meet and she’s kind of my other half. When I asked Jeannie if she could help me on a few blog posts while we were in this beautiful place, we both gave each other worried looks….Jeannie is so talented and wonderful, but we had to face the fact that she took completely unusable photos on her iphone for almost a year because she kept accidentally setting it on a filter. That said, when I look at these awesome photos I’m completely filled with pride for Jeannie! I feel like she really grew in her photography skills during the week…and she did it for me. I’m seriously so blessed to have a best friend who is ALWAYS there for me and believes in me more than anyone. One of my favorite sayings is “if it’s not NEON it shouldn’t BE ON,” and this tunic dress is one of my favorites! When the sun is going down and it just starts to get dark, the tropical neon pink in this dress shines so bright! It’s almost like it’s glow-in-the-dark! It makes me feel so confident – every single time!
I’m a big fan of the Beyonce and Jay Z “you shine I shine” mode of thought. Is this the reason I’m always drawn to neon and bright colors? Maybe. But, I definitely think that my best friend Jeannie shines so bright that it’s really hard not to shine when you’re with her…you can probably tell a little bit from all of these photos.
Gratefully With Love,
